We love a lot of the little towns around Valencia in the beautiful interior countryside and one of the most beautiful places is Sot de Chera. A bolthole in this lovely little village for your weekend getaways can be got for as little as 40k. Take a look on the website to see our latest listings and in the show notes you have a link to a small townhouse for just 40k

Storm Eunice Looked Like This
|
|
The day we went out to take photos of this property was the same day Storm Eunice was probably helping herself to a few of your roof tiles. No such problems here though, a balmy 26° and the sun high in the sky.
Situated in the Monte Horquera area of Villamarchante, 5km from the town centre and 30 mins from Valencia this two-storey rustic villa has tonnes of charm, loads of space both inside and out and plenty of peace and quiet.
Five Double Bedrooms, Two Bathrooms, a useful office space, a large well equipped kitchen with wood burner and the comfortable living room also has a fireplace, you might even get to use them one day. Wonderful views from the upstairs windows to the surrounding countryside and garden and also a very practical summer kitchen for all that al fresco dining you will be doing with your guests.
We´ve seen what other clients have done with similar properties and with the space and original features the potential here is enormous, a rough diamond that just needs a new pool and some TLC to turn it into a gem.

Those of you who listen to our podcast might have heard a lot of this post in the last episode. You too can hear it here along with a lot more information (Also make sure to subscribe for more episodes as they are
released each Friday) However, we thought it was better to release this information here too as the more knowledge you have the better informed your decision to purchase Valencia Property will be and it might make more sense written down as there are lots of ifs, buts, maybes and numbers
involved.

Cheap, Cheerful and in a Beautiful Village
|
|
If we were to rank small Valencian towns in order of prettiness, Sot de Chera would be right there near the top. It´s located inland in the mountains not far from wine country, about an hours drive from Valencia. A nature lovers dream, there are walking and hiking routes aplenty. The town itself has a river running through it that forms a natural swimming pool called “El gruñidor” (The growler).
The house itself is a southern facing two-storey townhouse with 3 bedrooms and a kitchen-dining room. Not the biggest space in the world but you won´t be spending much time indoors with all the outdoor activities at your disposal here anyway right?
Peace and quiet are probably the keywords here. If the hustle and bustle of a city or even big-town life is your thing, then this probably won´t be. But if waking up to silence except for birds chirping and the river running past your house is what appeals, then you could do a hell of a lot worse than Sot de Chera.

Little Penthouse Apartment in Russafa
|
|
A top-floor apartment on one of the most popular streets in Russafa with a large roof terrace. A classic old building, but they have managed to squeeze in a lift here, handy when you are on the fifth floor.
Now obviously, this is a small apartment, just one bedroom. But, the living area is large, and the terrace as I mentioned is too, and its east-facing, so lots of morning sunshine. The building itself dates from 1930 so has great original features and despite its age is in great condition, modern foyer and lift.
Ok, this is not a place for inviting lots of people to come and stay with you, but is that such a bad thing? Your own rooftop property in the heart of Valencia all to yourself. It would be a fantastic getaway property, and its the kind of place that could be easily rented out in the meantime, especially with the new Spanish Digital Nomad visa coming online soon, these kind of interesting properties are going to be in high demand for mid-term rentals. Talk to us and we'll explain
more.
