Bit By Bit We Change (For The Better)

We are constantly listening to our readers, our clients and those who we work with in our efforts to improve and make sure that we provide the best service you can find of any estate agency worldwide. It's a big ask but we want to break the mould and the typical opinion of Estate Agents (which of course isn't great) 

We have been listening to our clients after we asked them a simple question, what were the most useful posts on the blog and content elsewhere that has helped you? Today therefore, in this newsletter we are presenting the results of that consultation to you. 

At the same time though we are also asking for more feedback. Over the last few days on the blog we have been incorporating a feedback form into many posts and into the sidebar and you'll see that on many of the posts we recommend below. We would love it if you could fill in that form, it will take a couple of minutes, to give us even more information we can use to help you out even more. And of course you get the opportunity to pick our brains with a free consultation call too. 

During Covid we started our free consultations and we want to give even more of them so we can hear more from you about what it is that you are looking for exactly and how best we can help you with that search.

The Most Useful Articles on the Blog

Obviously the one that most people had found useful is the one that made them think of exactly what they were looking for. This concentration of the mind was considered extremely useful. If you want to let us know what you are looking for then feel free to fill in the form and return it to us. 

For those people who were looking for a place outside the city itself many told us that this article about the best towns around the city was extremely useful. It helped them to focus on the neighbourhoods to the north and west of the city and has details about each place and how far it is from the city and what facilities it has. 

A difficult one to write and the most controversial one probably, definitely the one that causes me the most problems with schools not exactly being enamoured of what I have written and then told people who get in touch wanting to know what's "Between the lines" on this one. And there's a lot between the lines. This article is the one that families with kids head to first. 

Our Podcast

There is a strange thing about the podcast. Our American clients love it. They invariably tell us that it was the most useful thing they came across when looking for information about Valencia and the property market here. 

Other nationalities don't listen as much. It's something to do with the fact that everyone in America has their own podcast perhaps ;-)

This article was useful to keep people's eyes open to potential scams and also how the property market works here in Valencia. Some were surprised by our advice but others say it saved them a lot of time and wasted energy and helped them to secure their ideal property. 

The article about the timelines for buying Valencia Property was considered very useful as people said it meant they got to do things in the right order and at the right time. Make sure you do too by reading it and inwardly digesting. 

Again, our American clients loved this article as it helped them to understand that life would be so much cheaper in so many ways and that they didn't have to worry about taxes in Spain unless they were extremely rich. Most aspire to be extremely rich of course but haven't got to the levels where it would cost them a lot of money to live here. Take a look at the article to read why not. 

Another article which tended to resonate with people as they began to understand why Spain is different. People also mentioned that they get riled by Facebook too. Expectations of what the property market should be like and how it should work need to be tempered by reality and this is the reality, weekends, fiestas and holidays. 

This is the article that sold the most properties of any that we have ever published. Once people understood the depth of the rental crisis then they were more inclined to buy an investment property as they knew it was going to be rented out easily. (We even published an update to this post later and also did a whole podcast about it which was our most popular podcast episode ever) 

Those were the main articles and content mentioned but there were also mentions for many other articles and also our Instagram feed, the answers I gave to people on Twitter and Facebook and of course the properties we put up on the Valencia Property homepage which helped with people licking their lips in anticipation of their visit.
