Lots Going on This WeekIt's an extremely busy week here in Valencia as all of the following are happening - Signings on three separate days with two coinciding 100km apart. Might be difficult to be in both places at once.
- The largest number of initial client meetings and calls I can
remember
- All of our colleagues are booked up all week
- I have to take my daughter to Madrid for an exam (Thank goodness for cheap 300km/h train travel)
- We have our first live Q+A on Whatsapp on Friday
Live Q+A on Friday on WhatsappYou need to be in the group to participate but next Friday from 4-5pm Spanish
time we are going to have our first Whatsapp Q+A. This is for everyone who has asked to be in our Whatsapp groups and who get first news about price drops, blogs, podcast releases and new listings on the site. See below for how to get in.
How it will work.At the start of the hour we'll be sending out a message to everyone in the group to start and you can get your question answered directly. I have put aside an hour to do this so there'll be no interruptions. As only we will see the questions due to the nature of Whatsapp Lists we will be copying and pasting the questions with the answer into the group. If a longer
answer is required then you might get a voicenote on it as my typing speed isn't 700 words per minute but I talk quite fast. Remember there are no stupid questions (Unless you are in certain Facebook groups where you will see there are plenty of stupid questions) and you might have questions I have previously answered but I'll still answer them in the hour. How Can You Participate?Have your question ready and send it to
us right at the start of the hour. However if you cannot follow during the hour send it beforehand on Friday and we'll make a note of it to answer in the hour. If you are not a member of our whatsapp group then send me a message on my whatsapp number 0034657994311 (Graham) and tell me your full name and I'll add you to the list beforehand. No questions are
off limits and we'll do our best to answer everything in full.
We didn't send out a mail in all of April so there's lots to catch up on. You can do this by clicking on the following blog titles or simply listening to the podcast linked below. There has been so much quality information on the site recently that we have been receiving huge boosts in numbers coming into the website and more and more questions.
The Valencia Property Podcast S2 Ep 23: Visa Options, Best Areas, Abandoned Spas and a Whatsapp Event
|
|
Welcome back to the Valencia Property podcast in what has been a monumental month in terms of sales, news and more in Spain. We'll get into it in the pod. In this month's pod we are talking about the news about Spain's Golden Visa finishing, at least for people looking to get it through buying property, the alternatives in terms of visas for coming to live in Spain for non EU clients and we start a new section this month
all about neighbourhoods and towns in and around Valencia, one neighbourhood and one town each month until I get bored or run out of inspiration. In our Valencia story this month we are looking at the strange story of an abandoned spa in Chulilla and why hope is rising like a phoenix from the flames.

I Can See Ibiza From Here
|
|
When we show apartments we often talk about connection to the street. Basically, it's nice have a nose out the window and see whats going on. Well this apartment gives you a birds eye view right down to the beach. Its right on the tram line, and while seventh floor is a bit too high for a balcony, and I bet you see all the way to Ibiza on a clear day.
No renovation needed, but
it could be improved by some redistribution. As you walk in you have 2 bedrooms to the right, and you turn left for the kitchen, one more bedroom and the living room. So if 2 bedrooms was enough, its an obvious and relatively straightforward renovation to simply open out all this area.
You could happily spend your days watching the sun rise, the beach goers going to and from the beach, the trams pulling in and out and the yachts sailing across the
horizon. And of course you are 15 minutes from the centre by tram, and a 5 minute walk from the beach. Can you see yourself here? Get in touch

The Old Apartment By The Sea
|
|
When you look around this huge apartment (it takes up the entire first floor of this building from the 1940s) you can just imagine the tertulias, the artistic gatherings, that it hosted, as the entire building was owned by a Valencian aristocratic dilettante. Many famous names from the 40s and 50s Spanish social scene have certainly passed through here like Dali and perhaps even Hemingway, these tiles could certainly
tell a few stories.
All the original features have been retained, the art deco carpentry in the doors and windows, the aforementioned hydraulic tiled floors (recently restored), a typical mirador (covered balcony to see the comings and goings on the street, check if her from number ten is still getting her daily ‘prescription’ from that pharmacist across the road who’s young enough to be her son) and high ceilings with molded details. No renovation is
required, all the important stuff has been done, and it is ready to be furnished and decorated to fully bring out its character.
This apartment is over 150m2 in size, with a large dining room, an office/study and a living room in the front, and an equally large main bedroom, dressing room and shower room at the back. In between there is a guest bedroom, a bathroom, and a fully renovated modern kitchen and laundry room/pantry. There is potential for
another bedroom or 2 if required, but this apartment would be best enjoyed by someone who appreciates large spaces, a tall Dutch dude, a fat Irish lad or maybe just a regular American (y’call this a bedroom? Yes, yes we do).
It is located right in that lovely little area in the corner of Cabanyal that borders the Port, less than 2 minutes walk from El Grau metro station, so 20 minutes from the centre and a little over half an hour from the airport from
your door. The beach is 500m away, and there are many restaurants and bars even closer, only a short stagger home.
I don’t know what else to say. It’s great. Space, comfort and history all together in the right place. This is one of those places we love to sell, because we know the buyer will be getting a really special property, where they can add their own story to the chapters already laid down here.

Stunning Split Penthouse in Naquera
|
|
You get so much more for your money when you venture a little out from the city of Valencia itself and when at the same time you get outside space through a large 22m2 terrace, mountain views, a relatively new build and peace and quiet then you may just have hit the jackpot.
This second floor triplex apartment in Naquera has a weird thing for Spain, you get out of the lift
straight into your apartment. You could also use the stairs to come in through the front door which is downstairs but that New York Loft feel is decent.
The main floor is a large open plan living room and kitchen, plus a bathroom. Downstairs there is a bedroom and upstairs a huge bedroom with en suite bathroom and access to the large roof terrace. So in relaity you get four floors meaning of course tight buns if you use all of the
property.
Recently reduced the price is also extremely attractive and if you wanted to rent out you wouldn't have too many problems attracting a tenant looking for something turnkey.

The Old Reliable
|
|
Back to good old reliable La Eliana for today’s listing. We’ve given our reasons for liking this town multiple times over the years (spoiler alert: there just might be something coming up on next weeks podcast as well), but if you’re just tuning in then the amenities, bars, restaurants, public transport, proximity to Valencia would be the tl:dr (Have I used that right kids?).
When this house first came up I though it was a little overpriced, but it’s come down now and looks a good buy at the current price. 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms means it’s a great option for a family looking to move over and still requiring space for when the relatives decide to pop in. There’s a couple of doghouses in the garden should said relatives be of the “Ugh, I can’t believe we got to put this lot up for the next 2 weeks” variety.
While the interior could do with a little modernising, there’s no big tear-down jobs needed, rather deciding what personal touches you want to add to the space to make it your own. Along with a nice sized plot that doesn’t require constant maintenance and located just a 10-minute walk from La Eliana town centre, this should definitely be added to your list of properties to visit once you arrive here. So, send this link to whichever one of us is dealing with you and we
will arrange the visit pronto.
