Hope you are feeling fine and you are safe in your home as we slowly come out of the Covid19 lockdown. Here in Spain we are slightly more advanced than many countries now as Covid arrived early and struck hard. Valencia is in phase one of the deescalation process of lockdown now and the number of new cases each day can be counted on the fingers of one hand usually. For people visiting properties
we have put in place a protocol for visits. See below for more details. We have also been writing on the blog, see below, and have increased the availability of our virtual tours, also see below.
The government of Spain has announced the intention of opening the borders to foreign tourists at the start of July. However keep an eye out for news on this as not every country will be included in this. Countries with high incidence of Covid19 will be excluded (Probably the USA, Sweden, Russia, The UK, Brazil etc...) Countries in the Schengen free travel area will probably be opened
up.

Deescalation of the Lockdown and Steps we Take on Visiting Properties.
Meanwhile we have put together our protocols for visits to make sure we reduce any chance of contagion on visits to properties
Now we are back working we are doing so under certain protocols. These include the following:
1) Movements within and outside the city will be done in separate cars to avoid potential contagion for future clients.
2) Outside the city we will be using whatsapp to arrange to meet at properties rather than pick clients up. Therefore make sure to download whatsapp and get used to its functions on your smartphone.
3) We will be supplying all clients with latex gloves to be disposed of at the end of their visits to each house.
4) We will be conducting virtual visits for clients who have had to cancel travel plans from properties they are interested in as required. We will also be making videos for clients and placing them on our social media channels.
5) We may have to cancel visits at short notice due to family issues as kids are off school until September. We will make every effort to cover those absences from within our staff in order to minimise these events.
6) Any staff member testing positive for the virus will be placed on 14 day leave to avoid potential contagion and protect other members of staff. We generally work together but remotely and rarely have meetings so cross contamination even when asymptomtic if unlikely.
7) We have used the time off wisely, updating the website, our social media channels, starting virtual tours and walkthrough videos, increasing our service offer and giving you the best service possible remotely.
8) We have set up a Whatsapp Broadcast Channel hotline for all of our ex and future clients for keeping them up to date with the current situation. As it is broadcast only if you want to be included send me (Graham) a whatsapp to (00 34) 657994311 with your name (In case you are not in my contacts) and I will place you on the list. This has been extremely useful during the main parts of the crisis.
9) We have a second broadcast channel now on Whatsapp to inform you of new properties on site, price reductions, bargains that come up, and any property news. You can join this in the same way as above but also write in a comment saying "New Property List"
10) Any past clients who need any help at this time can contact us via whatsapp or mail on information@valencia-property.com to answer your questions about anything to do with the situation and to request help. We have been doing all we could to provide support during this time period.
11) We look forward to a return to normality asap. Currently Valencia is in phase one of the deescalation. Within the whatsapp group we have been letting people know what they can and cannot do in each phase of the deescalation. Hopefully a return to some sort of normality will come sooner rather than later.

Valencia and the rest of Spain look like they are starting to emerge from the long hibernation sparked by Covid19. From Monday the 11th we are allowed to make visits to properties. Initially we expect things to be slow because the majority of our clients have to come from abroad to visit, however we already have visits set up for next week and having spoken to a few other agents they are totally booked up for next
week.
