We haven't contacted you for a couple of months mostly because we have been so busy. We have taken on a new listing agent who is killing it with descriptions, read on to see more, we have beaten our record for the sale with the highest value in the city and we currently have a lot of sales in the process of completion and that's before the borders open in May for those with the so called Covid passports.

Let's take a look at some things that may interest you...

THE GOOD NEWS

Firstly the most important.

Covid rates in Valencia remain among the lowest in Europe.

Also Valencia continues to be attractive for a wide range of people looking to live a better quality of life. Among our clients in the last couple of months we have had people escaping Brexit, sick of the constant rain in Italy (Yes that one surprised me too), people escaping the constant fear of gun violence in the States and people just looking for a better life for their kids.

Ok, I really want to list this because some of the photos of this place are works of art in their own right. I will discuss some of them below. (Incidentally due to public decency laws I will be using some abbreviations here, like FH, WTFK, FM, GFY and WTAF. And maybe just plain F too)

The first photo below is of 2 armchairs and a fireplace. Harmless right?
Wrong. It is a visual full frontal assault. FM I thought I was having a stroke when I saw this. Your eyes run in distress from one item to another seeking refuge. There is none

Photo 2 is a kitchen. In a house. In 2021. FH. It reminds me of those stories magazines in the 1950s would run about houses of the future. The kitchens looked like this. Are we in an american diner? Are we in space? WTFK.
Whoever designed this has probably long since passed, but their genius lives on

The Independence of Valencia

One of the things that surprises people on coming to Valencia is the variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and the rest. Only yesterday a client commented that it was so refreshing to not come upon a Starbucks on every corner. I had to admit there are four or five but told her that one had closed down because nobody ever went there.

Years ago I remember a friend’s daughter being so excited that a Starbucks was going to open in Valencia because… well she couldn’t explain why exactly… it was just it was something different. She wasn’t even a coffee drinker. But then again neither is anyone who goes into Starbucks regularly, they are generally drinkers of a noxious mix of milk and various sugars with some weak tasteless coffee mixed in there somewhere.

Ok *picks up mic* I'd better say a bit more. Its 5 minutes walk from the beach, half that to the metro stop. As you enter there is a double bedroom and another single bedroom, a very well equipped kitchen which opens into a comfortable living area. Its a great apartment, good size and great location.

And you really have to see the photos to try and understand the layout here. The living room opens out to an amazing terrace which is in 2 sections, joined by a walkway bridge. It's amazing, and big. Loads of room for table, 6 chairs and a barbecue. You cross that bridge and you really are getting away from it all.

Who Is Buying Valencia Property in 2021?

If you believe everything you read on Facebook and other social media I’d say you had recently had a lobotomy or at least you would be on your way to one, but there does seem to be an expectation on social media totally divorced from reality.

Newbies to the Valencia Property world seem to think that they will get 20, 30 and even 40% off the asking prices of Valencia Property just because they make an offer. Allow me to disabuse them of that notion with a simple question, “Is that happening where you are from?” Because if it isn’t why on Earth would it be happening here?

Colourful Mexican Style Villa

This is my new favourite property. It reminds me of Mexico. I've never been to Mexico, but the whitewash-style walls, terracotta tiles, the jacaranda trees, cacti and the splashes of colour throughout, this is how I imagine it.

This renovated villa is located on a decent-sized corner plot between Olocau and Bétera.
It is actually on 2 levels, on the low level there is a large garage for two cars. On the upper level is the main part of the house. A terrace, three double bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, a dining room with fireplace, living room, kitchen and bathroom completely renovated.
